Laboratory for Research, Development and Evaluation of PV Systems and their Subsystems.
Budget | 840.646,00 € |
Scope of this project is to establish a Laboratory for research, development and testing of integrated Photovoltaic (PV) Systems and PV Subsystems, such as PV modules, batteries, power quality assessment units, e.t.c. The development of this Laboratory is aiming to offer services to SMEs, as well as large enterprises, which are interested in investing on production and applications of PV Systems and components in Greece.
These enterprises, in collaboration with the Laboratory of CRES (which is the National Centre for the development and dissemination of RES), may develop new products, without having to invest on expensive know-how and machinery. They will also be able to test their own products.
Furthermore, important services will be provided to Greek industries, which are already available in other European countries. At the same time, the most recent international PV technology progress is followed up and may potentially be applied. By this, the technology transfer to Greece will be much easier.
Finally, the Laboratory infrastructure permits our participation in European projects for product development and testing, as well as standardisation.
