Country reports followed a standard format, and included:

		Overview of the energy sector
		Review of policies legislation and support mechanisms for renewable energy and CHP
		Details of CHP and biomass CHP activities, plants

Information for these reports was delivered by BioCogen partners for their respective countries. CRES undertook the search for information on the eight countries for which there was no representative partner. CRES edited and compiled all the country reports.
The country reports are a thorough and up-to-date review of biomass cogeneration across Europe. The country reports provide valuable background information for other BioCogen tasks.
They are a useful deliverable in their own right. The document gives information over a wide geographic area which is useful for promoters of biomass cogeneration and insights to national situations for developers, investors and industry.
